Life in a "Looks Industry" November 9, 2010

Using the example of myself and other professional women in theatre, film and television, I will examine how great female performers created personae to negotiate their careers in an entertainment industry that valued beauty above all else. How much did we (the artists) sacrifice for "looks"? The lecture will draw on video and live demonstration.
