Improve your drawing skills! Don’t miss this great opportunity to work with artist Leo Neufeld. Draw from a live model and learn to interpret the human form to build confidence and improve control. We will begin with exercises in gesture, expressing the pose in as few lines as possible. Then we will move to blocking in the structure of the figure, learning to see the effects of light and shadow. Finally we will explore rendering and techniques for finishing a piece, learning to see the subtleties that allow you to become more intimate with your subject. The goal is to learn to see, which in turn allows you to better express yourself. As class size is limited, please sign up early. Instructor information and materials list are available through registration and dce.unm.edu. Drawing materials coast approximately $25. Tuition is $85 and a model fee of $20 is payable to the instructor at the first day of class. Classes will be held in the UNM Continuing Education north building, located at 1634 University Blvd NE, in Albuquerque, from 6-9pm on Wednesdays, March 7-28, 2012.
