Libby Hague: Avalanche! December 14, 2006

Come out and enjoy the winter events that are part of Libby Hague's Avalanche! - itself a cross between a baroque nativity scene and a comic book.

Avalanche! is a huge paper sculpture looming over a baby on a city sidewalk. The viewer is confronted with the "press pause" moment just before disaster hits .Or maybe not. The possibility of rescue rests on the small shoulders of a tiny, young acrobat who tumbles down from the ceiling - not even as big as some of the snowflakes ...

Thursday Dec.14 at 8:00 pm there will be a one night projection on the Avalanche! of new video work by Jace and Jon McCurley, the co-founder of the Still Camera Video Festival.
