(San Francisco, CA) – Beginning Feb. 23, 2008, Terese Genecco, the award-winning vocalist, comedian, and bandleader, will be headlining in “LAST CALL!” on Sat. nights at 10:30 pm
at THE RRAZZ ROOM at the Hotel Nikko - 222 Mason St. (at O’Farrell St.) 94102,
San Francisco’s Hottest New Nightclub, with her retro-cool, 50’s-style nightclub act, complete with an 8-piece band featuring the West Coast’s wildest jazz musicians. This is the closest thing you'll find to Vegas by the Bay - the swingin’est nightclub act in town, as Terese Genecco throws a musical party with her *little big band* in tow! All the hip cats will be in the house for this weekly late-night musical celebration.

Artists appearing at the Rrazz Room in the 8 o’clock show slots will sit in with Genecco and her band at the late show, when available. Artists booked through June 2008 include Paula West, Lainie Kazan, Diane Schuur, Maureen McGovern, Katey Sagal, Lynda Carter, Ashford & Simpson, Jane Olivor, Bobby Caldwell, Oleta Adams, and others.

On Sat. Feb. 23, Jack Costanzo - “Mr. Bongo” - the legendary percussionist - now 84, (www.myspace.com/jackcostanzo) who is credited with introducing the bongos into American popular music with the Stan Kenton Orchestra in the 50’s, and who played with major celebrities including Judy Garland, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Dinah Shore, Frances Faye, and Nat “King” Cole, will be joining the band on their inaugural show. Other band members will include local favorites Mike Greensill on piano, Max Perkoff on trombone, Fil Lorenz on sax, with a rotating roster of other West Coast jazz greats filling out the 8-pieces each week.

Terese Genecco – is a 2007 Backstage Bistro Award Winner, a 2006 MAC award-nominee for Best Debut Performance (Manhattan Assoc. of Cabarets & Clubs), and Time Out Magazine in NYC’s Top 10 Best Cabaret Shows of 2006 and 2007. Genecco is best known for her award-winning performances in her jazz/musical creation, “DRUNK WITH LOVE: A TRIBUTE TO FRANCES FAYE!” Terese pays tribute to the spirit, sound, and style of Frances Faye, the 1950’s bi-sexual, nightclub icon. This show made its world premiere in S.F. at the New Conservatory Theatre in July 05, and ran for 5 weeks, before moving to NYC for a debut run at The Encore Showroom, followed by four repeat engagements at The Metropolitan Room. Genecco has also performed as a headliner at San Francisco’s Jazz At Pearl’s, The Empire Plush Room, The Fillmore Street Jazz Festival, ODC Theater and more. In NYC, Terese has performed at Jazz @ Lincoln Center, Birdland, the Iridium Jazz Club, The Metropolitan Room, and The Encore. She has also appeared in Hollywood at The M Bar & Restaurant, where she appears again on
March 7, 2008. Her next NYC engagement will be at B.B. King’s Blues Club on May 6, 2008.
