Singer-songwriter Levon Helm is a veteran blues artist who is also known as the drummer of the legendary group, The Band. After surviving throat cancer in the late 90's, Helm has experienced a late career renaissance, both as a performer and recording artist. Helm was named one of Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Singers and is a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
