In the lead up to the global financial crisis, the expansion of credit made a significant contribution to the growth rates seen in many nations around the world. But that same expansion introduced a level of instability that continues to plague the global economy. Four years on from the onset of this crisis, this course seeks to examine the nature of credit and its contribution to both growth and instability in the global economy and then to consider the path forward. What are the options for nations and financial systems laden with debt? Does the EU have a future? Can economics be both cause and cure? This course is suitable for Adults and students in Years 11 and 12. Details of this event may be subject to change.
