Concept, research and direction: Sanjukta Wagh. Inspired by African American poet Ntozake Shange choreopoem, for coloured girls who have considered suicide/ when the rainbow is enuf. Excerpts from Shanges work are interspersed with poems, songs and music by women artists around the world including Parvaty Baul, Joy Harjo, Begum Akhtar, Toni Morisson, Girijadevi,Kabita Sinha, Janis Joplin, Bahinabai Chaudhari and many many more. Experience a rich quilt of womens experiences across time and space woven through words, music and dance.
