Darren Keen is the one-man band producer/ performer from Lincoln, Nebraska called The Show is the Rainbow. His DIY efforts over the past couple of years have seen 2 EPs (one of which was produced by I Am Spoonbender), a split 7", and multiple self-booked tours all over the United States. Recently armed with a video projector (in addition to his microphone and minidisc), his live shows -- which often involve semi-nudity and blood -- promise to be EVEN MORE chaotic, unusual, and entertaining than ever. Such inspired frenzy has brought TSITR to share the stage with the likes of Mates of State, Gravy Train!!!!, Broken Spindles, and many more as well as multiple upcoming dates with Cex, MC Chris, and Beep Beep.
Pop culture references abound with tongue firmly in cheek (Devo, Beck, Prince may get a nod), but his own songwriting voice is setting his path to superstardom.
