Two middle-aged, very concentrated gentlemen sit on chairs with a score at their feet and make precise music with the upper part of their bodies. Immediately a rhythm sets in, counterpoint and harmony. This is not the slight alienation of everyday gestures.

Right from the start it is pure composition. Sometimes they look at each other in order to keep time. In the pauses they seem to relax fractionally but they remain musical pauses. It begins with the almost magical gesture of brushing everything quotidian, apparently natural but in reality thoroughly non-musical off their thighs. Burrows raises his arm in an elegant, ballet-like movement, Fargion sets down two hard accents in counterpoint.
