Meet America’s Newest Inventors!

See 20 Lemelson-MIT InvenTeams from high schools across the United States showcase their amazing inventions: fire-extinguishing grenade; Alzheimer's memory-assist device; solar-charged traffic signal, laser remote control for quadriplegics, calculator for the blind, and more.

In October, these 2006-07 Lemelson-MIT InvenTeams received grants of up to $10,000 each to develop an invention prototype that addresses a problem of their choosing. The InvenTeams initiative aims to inspire a new generation of inventors and is funded by the Lemelson-MIT Program and The Lemelson Foundation.

Admission to the multi-day Lemelson-MIT InvenTeams Odyssey is FREE. At the MIT Stata Center (32 Vassar Street, Cambridge) all 20
InvenTeams will simultaneously demonstrate their inventions on June 20 and 21, 9:30 a.m. – noon. Each team will also individually present their invention processes June 20 and 21, 5:30 - 8 p.m. and June 22, 10 a.m. - noon.
