Legends of the Fog, the haunted attraction located in Aberdeen, MD., will introduce new hi-tech and plot-derived haunts to go along with its three main attractions: Sinister Circus, Haunted Hayride and Carsins Manor. These new and improved scares promise to spook all attendees, from haunted house novices to seasoned scare veterans. The Sinister Circus, where attendees begin their night, takes place under a giant circus tent containing games and attractions designed to warm up guests for the terrors to come. Guests will experience mind bending optical illusions, a supernatural maze and encounter malicious clowns and circus freaks designed to re-establish every guest's childhood fears. The Haunted Hayride follows a post-apocalyptic storyline and takes guests on a thrilling escape from a mysterious fog. Along the way, guests, who are among the few remaining "survivors," will be forced to choose between the rebels and the organization, and then escape on a tour of the post-human world. Guests will witness creatures emerging from the swamp waters of a vermin-infested bayou, and become trapped in rooms full of snakes, birds and bizarre creatures created from the toxic waste. Those who "survive" the haunted hayride - the only one of its kind in Maryland - will then stumble upon Carsins Manor, an abandoned orphanage in which guests will navigate through blood-stained rooms and avoid crashing walls. A new doll room in the mansion promises to make the Chucky films seem like child's play. Legends of the Fog takes place on 100 terrifying acres of an eerie 1,000-acre farm. All haunts at the attraction are manned by more than 130 volunteer actors who customize scares to each group of guests. And while there are new scares, many of the fan-favorite creatures will return this year, including Edwin Carsin and Frostbite. Legends of the Fog is family owned and operated. A portion of the total proceeds will benefit Harford Explorer Post 6600, the Humane Society of Harford County, and Level Fire Department.
