Legendary American Furniture Maker: Duncan Phyfe November 14, 2010

Join Peter M. Kenny, curator in the department of American decorative arts and the administrator of the American Wing of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and curator of the upcoming exhibition on Duncan Phyfe, for a slide presentation about Phyfe, one of the giants of American furniture making.

A trolley tour of Green-Wood’s grounds, with Kenny, joined by cemetery historian Jeff Richman, highlighting those artists who are Green-Wood’s permanent residents and whose work appears in the American Wing, will follow. This is a rare opportunity to see the work of these artists through the eyes of an expert.
