Bio: Lee Ahlin
As a composer, singer, songwriter, musical director, and guitarist, Mr. Lee Ahlin lends his many talents to Shorecrest's arts department. In addition to teaching a computer music course, all skill levels of guitar, and musical theatre courses, Mr. Ahlin continues to work professionally and will be performing at Ruth Eckerd Hall in May 2008 in his original cabaret-style show.

Though Mr. Ahlin always loved music and learned to play the piano at a young age, it was seeing the Beatles perform that made him want to learn to play the guitar. He sang and played bass guitar in his own band while double majoring in theatre and speech at the University of South Florida. After graduating with his B.A., he taught music theory and classical guitar at both Eckerd College and St. Leo College for nine years all the while performing professionally.

Though he had written and recorded many of his own songs, he began writing musicals after teaming up with his childhood friend, Phil Hall. Their first musical "Children of the Day" was produced by the University of South Florida and became very successful.
