Lecture - East and West, The Twain Shall Meet. Speaker: Sir Mark Tully. Eunic Lecture Series 2008 British Council Division.

Second lecture in a new series being organised in collaboration with the European Union National Institutes of Culture India (EUNIC) which will focus on themes of intercultural dialogue, either by European or Indian experts, underlining common themes in the history of both the continents. The areas to be covered will include diversity and freedom, the role of public discourse and civil society, politics, economics, culture, secularity and religion, views of India from European perspectives and vice versa; human rights and cultures of dissent, gender etc.
