Carol Stevenson is British-born photographer specializing in landscape, wildlife and documentary photography. She is driven by a passion to document the worlds fast disappearing cultures, animals and places. Best known for her evocative color photography and distinctive style, Stevensons documentary work seeks to capture the essence of her subjects. Her conservation work revolves around a five-year project documenting the vanishing Asian elephant and the unique mahout (keeper) community in Northern Thailand. This talk will focus on her techniques and experiences photographing the elephants and mahouts at Elephant Nature Park, an elephant rescue site, in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
