Learning Disability Nursing Open Event July 22, 2009

A Learning Disabilities Nurse works with both children and adults in a variety of mainly community settings, ranging from residential homes, day centres, specialist behavioural and/or assessment units to Community Learning Disability Teams. They help to develop an individual package of care designed to offer the appropriate levels of support to meet the health and social care needs of the person with learning disabilities.

If you are interested in a career in this area of nursing we are holding an informal drop-in event at our Faculty of Health building (Room H203) on Wednesday 22nd July, 1pm-3pm. You will have the chance to talk to tutors about our BSc (Hons) Pre-Registration Learning Disabilities, studying at Edge Hill University, how to apply and nursing in general.
