Give me two hours on a Sunday afternoon (plus a donation to a very worthy local cause), and I'll teach you to knit. Sit in a sunny cafe and learn all the basic knitting steps, and leave with a finished small item. I bring all the supplies, you just bring yourself and your party attitude. Designer extraordinaire Kate Godfrey is my co-host and co-teacher. The guest list will be limited to a maximum of 12, so you will get plenty of personalized help as you learn.

And there will be snacks! Fresh spring rolls, satay, cookies, fresh fruit, and more. Also, some door prizes.

The location is Cafe Zeste http://www.zestecatering.com/cafezeste.html, an intimate little cafe perched on the edge of Strawberry Creek Park in Berkeley.
If you'd like to attend, please RSVP by donating to the Women's Daytime Drop-In Center (http://www.womensdropin.org/) at this link: https://www.justgive.org/nonprofits/donate.jsp?ein=94-3123986. I'm suggesting $35 per person, but if you're more comfortable with less, that's cool too. Send me some proof of your donation by Wednesday, March 3, and you're on the list...
