Learn to Belly Dance in 2009 January 2, 2009

Want to try something new in 2009? Start a healthy hobby? Try belly dancing...

Sahara Dance is offering three Introduction to Belly Dance workshops in January. An hour and fifteen minutes each, these workshops are a wonderful way to sample the timeless and beautiful dance.

Class will include a brief introduction to the history, context and philosophy of belly dance. Students will learn basic technique, including lifted stance and posture, shimmies, isolations, undulations and traveling steps. By the end of the class, you will be shimmying!

Check it out, and bring a friend! No prior experience necessary.

Cost: $20 in advance / $30 at door
