August 6 kicks off a three week series focused on Authentic Jazz and the Shim Sham!

Don't be the only Swing dancer in the world who doesn't know the Shim Sham! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_k_BIA_unI) Don't miss out.

Robert and Rachel will take you back in time to a day when legends like Frankie Manning and other Savoy dancers' improvisation, and sometimes even mistakes, created dance steps that have continued to wow audiences since the 1930s. You'll have a blast learning easy-to-master jazz moves, a Lindy line dance, and personal musicality.

Many, if not all, of the moves you will learn can be adapted nicely into your social and partner dancing. This series welcomes beginners as well as those from all experience levels, and you do not need a partner to attend. This Swing Soulstice session will be taught progressively over a period of three consecutive weeks.

Note: The Shim Sham and Authentic Jazz steps are solo dances. Partnered Swing lesson will resume August 26.

Class: 8:30 pm
Swing Dance: 9:30 pm to midnight

See you out dancing!
