Leading with Design April 30, 2008

"The Design Council is hosting an Entrepreneur In-Conversation event with current design leaders talking about their progress to the top and what they have learned about entrepreneurship and leadership on the way.

Ralph Ardill, Founder and CEO of The Brand Experience, will present his experience as a leader in creative consultancies sharing thoughts on leading with influence and entrepreneurship. Ralph is recognised as one of the pioneers and leading authorities on experiential branding, design and communication.

Mat Hunter, Business Partner at design consultancy IDEO, will talk about design leadership and management, and the challenges for entrepreneurship in design. Mat is an interaction designer, and has worked with blue-chip and start-up companies on projects ranging from high-level design strategies to detailed prototype development.

Finally, a director from business will present their experience of leading and influencing with design and strategy in business, and how design can contribute positively to a company’s bottom line.

David Kester, Chief Executive at the Design Council, will host discussion and Q&A with the panel, following the short presentations."
