Leading Ladies: The US Navy's Black Women Admirals August 16, 2008

Join Commander Jim Jackson for a gallery talk on Rear Admiral Lillian Fishburne, USN, Ret. and Rear Admiral Michelle Howard, USN, the Navy's first African American Admirals. Rear Admiral Fishburne coordinated communication from shore stations to ships and airplanes around the globe. Rear Admiral Howard was the first African American woman to command a ship in the US Navy.
