Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 2009 Cal Leadership Symposium Find your Compass, Lead the Way Saturday, January 31, 2009; 9am-3:30pm Alumni Networking Luncheon 12:20pm-1:05pm UC Berkeley, Pauley Ballroom, MLK Jr. Student Union In 2008, over five hundred student leaders from nine different colleges participated and gained from the contributions of alumni who came in from as far as New York. Many participants found the Alumni Luncheon an eye opening and truly meaningful experience that allowed them to get a taste of their fields of interest. Thank you for helping us continue our tradition and agreeing to volunteer your time to our Alumni Networking Luncheon on January 31, 2009 . Our Alumni Networking Luncheon is scheduled for 12:20pm to 1:05pm this year. Please arrive by 11:30am in order to check in , be shown where we would like you to sit, and get your food before all the students arrive. Students will begin to arrive around 12:20pm where they will choose where to sit according to a list describing each alumni or faculty member coming. During lunch you will get a chance to talk to eager students who would like to know more about what you all do. Some things to think about prior to coming are: What leadership positions or roles did you hold in college? What leadership skills do you use today in your position? What leadership skill do you look for in a student or colleague (which skills do you believe are important)? And what do you think is the best thing for students to do now (do you have any jobs, internships, shadowing opportunities, tips, etc.)? After our Alumni Luncheon, we welcome you to stay and participate in our event as a special guest! There will also be a private alumni lounge in case you need a break or would just like to mingle and socialize with other alumni. Our committee also invites you to attend and participate in the entire day long Leadership Symposium as our special guest from 9:00am to 3:30pm. We are committed to not only making it an experience for our student leaders, but an experience for you.
