LEAD MCENROE with SWITCHBOARD – Fri, Aug 14 at 8:30pm – ONE NIGHT ONLY; Tickets $5
What’s the difference between LEAD MCENROE and someone who is certifiably insane, yet oddly eloquent? Very little. Based upon a single suggestion from the audience, this East Coast-born and Magnet-bred long-form team takes you to the absurd and back. There’s no way to describe the experience, as it is different every single time. LEAD MCENROE is Mike Barry, Nick Benaquista, Tim Eberle, Dan Scivoletti, and Rob Williams. Directed by Alex Marino. For more information, visit www.leadmcenroe.com.

The show continues with SWITCHBOARD, a long-form improvised surprise. The cast of three women (alumnae of The Second City) begins by creating a space object phone switchboard. The lights come up as they chatter away and connect people on the board. From this stylized opening they organically get a suggestion from the audience: a word in the English language. Then the lights come down and they begin. The form runs 25-30 minutes and is inspired by Chicago’s own FourSquare.
