LB Steak in Santana Hosts “Chicks Dig It” Speaker Series March 13, 2011

LB Steak in Santana Row in San Jose hosts a “Chicks Dig It” quarterly speaker series with the debut scheduled for Sunday, March 13 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

The series’ first guest will be Denise Keeler who will address the topic “Chicks Grow It, Women in Agriculture” by discussing eating in season, proper storage of produce, container gardening, heirloom vegetables, and more. Ms. Keeler is an educated agriculture enthusiast, industry expert, and also the General Manager of LB Steak.

Guests (men and women) are invited to enjoy a food tasting, specialty cocktail tastes and unlimited house wine, all for $20.00 per person or $35.00 for two people. Advance tickets, which are recommended, can be obtained by calling (408) 244-1180. Seats are limited.

Specific foods that will be tasted at the debut event will be Cream of Broccoli Soup; Bruschetta with fine herbs, tomato and garlic; and bite sized Quiches with fresh herb and arugula. Thyme Martini, Mint Mojito, and Herb Caesar cocktails will be sampled and the wines to be poured will be a Calina Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The “Chicks Dig It” speaker series has been designed to celebrate and empower women working in a variety of food, beverage and dining related industries.
