Laurie was born and raised in a dull, Northern California suburb. A former competitive swimmer (she swam for UCLA) Laurie made the switch from the pool to the stage in the early nineties, during San Francisco's comedy boom. After being a "New Face" at the 1997 Montreal Comedy Festival, she moved to New York City. She has performed in Iraq, the United Kingdom, forty of the fifty US States, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Aspen and a laundromat. She currently writes for Comedy Central's “Too Late” w/Adam Carolla. Laurie Kilmartin is one of the fastest rising stars in Comedy today. With appearances on NBC's "Friday Night," Comedy Central, A&E, Showtime and more, Laurie creates mass hysteria and leaves crowds wobbly legged with laughter everywhere she performs.
