Latin American Cultural Week: Piano Festival November 9, 2009

The festival features five pianists performing in different styles: Carlos Franzetti of Argentina - Latin Jazz, Allison Brewster Franzetti, American - classical, Max Lifchitz of Mexico - contemporary classical, Octavio Brunetti of Argentina - Tango (with guitarist Adam Tuli) and Polly Ferman of Uruguay - traditional Latin music. The pianists, representing a wide range of styles and genres of Latin music, will perform solos, duets, and four- and eight-hand works. Also appearing are popular Argentinian tango dancers Karina Romero and Dardo Galletto, who will perform and teach a short tango class.
