Andersonville makes it easy to save money AND support local businesses while shopping for friends and family (or even yourself!) at the 9th Annual Late Night Andersonville. For four hours only, more than 35 beloved Andersonville stores and restaurants will be open late and offering great savings on distinctive holiday gifts and delectable meals. This event is great for shoppers of all ages and features free entertainment, great refreshments and a chance to get pictures taken with Santa (5-8pm at the Andersonville Holiday Pop-up Gallery, 1515 W. Berwyn). Entertainment highlights include free holiday movie nights, live music and caroling, artist demonstrations, and more!

Are you a procrastinator when it comes to holiday shopping? Are you at your most productive when the stress of a quickly approaching holiday is giving you a little extra motivation? Then join us for our second night of Late Night Andersonville, just a little “late-er” than usual. For four more hours, take advantage of the same discounts from Late Night Andersonville, plus once again enjoy free entertainment, refreshments and pictures with Santa. The Late Night Andersonville and Late-er Night Andersonville discount coupon, which lists all of the evenings’ activities and sales, is available starting Nov. 22 at most Andersonville businesses, and at www.andersonville.org, or by calling 773/728-2995.

Looking for ways to go green this holiday? Participate in eco-Andersonville’s FREE “Green Gift Wrapping Bash”. For the fifth year, the Andersonville Development Corporation will host a green gift wrapping bash giving shoppers the opportunity to be kind to trees AND show some creativity in their gift giving! The Green Gift Wrapping Bash will be held at George’s Ice Cream & Sweets, 5306 N. Clark, in conjunction with Late-er Night Andersonville on Friday, Dec. 16th, 6:00-10:00 p.m. Participants can bring their purchases to fashion gift wrap out of an assortment of blueprints, movie posters, printer overruns, maps, and other colorful items that have been donated for the event and would have otherwise gone to a landfill. Free refreshments will be generously provided by George’s Ice Cream & Sweets.
