Better known as “El Judio Maravilloso” (The Marvelous Jew), a name bestowed on him by the Spanish community for his extraordinary contribution to the development of the salsa genre through the creation of uniquely original beats. Harlow developed the explosive, Trumpet/trombone sound of the contemporary salsa bands in the early 70's and he was the first to introduce the sacred bata' drums of the Yoruba religion in Cuba to secular Afro-Cuban dance music in NYC. He returns to Yoshi’s with members of the Latin Legends of Fania.
