690 Burrard St
Vancouver, British Columbia V6C 2L1

His music has been heard and sung by royalty and rock stars, by sports heroes and world leaders. He has conducted and inspired countless choirs of all sizes and configurations, talented soloists and four generations of children. His compositions have been performed to the delight of audiences at venues all over the world: from the grandeur of Carnegie Hall in New York City to the muted beauty of St. Miguel de Allende in the Chiapas region of Mexico, from the echoing cathedrals of Italy to a schoolroom filled with singing children in the teeming urban environment of Hong Kong. He has composed over 200 works, primarily sacred music and many of these have been published, printed and distributed near and far so they may continue to reach new ears, hearts and voices. He doesn’t do it for the money or the fame, he doesn’t work to a commercial template or formula, the music flows from his mind and his heart and his soul. Sometimes inspiration is slow to arrive but he perseveres. He has never had a hit song, never been on Muchmusic or MTV but he is one of Vancouver’s most enduring and respected artists. His name is Rupert Lang and for 20 years he has been and continues to be the Organist and Director of Music at Christ Church Cathedral, Vancouver, BC
Rupert invites everyone to celebrate with him this remarkable milestone with two events
