Program Description

Guest Presenter: Kevin Rudat CID, CIC, CLIA, Sales Manager, Larchmont Engineering & Irrigation, Inc. Lexington, MA

With todays water conservation movements and the EPA Water Sense
Program and new LEED requirements being incorporated, designs today are
requiring more control on the use of our most precious natural
resource. With concerns over water supply shortages, runoff issues and
economic pressures, the use of water in our landscapes is being closely
monitored. Now, more than ever, the focus on conservation is becoming
the focus of many designs.

In this workshop, Kevin Rudat, a Certified Irrigation Designer,
Contractor and Auditor will help you to understand and identify the
different types of systems that are in use in the modern landscape and
their respective water consumption. A focus of this course will be on
how you can provide irrigation in your landscape designs and creations
with this conservation goal in mind through proper system selection,
system control and through use of the different styles of water sensors.

The main portion of the course will be on drip irrigation, the most
water efficient system in production, detailing its water requirements
and uses in lawns, beds and planters. A complete overview of design
layout, component identification and specification, with installation
and hardware examples on hand, will have you thinking even more
landscape water consciously by the end of this class. So whether youre
looking to more efficiently care for the properties you maintain, are
looking to start installing your own irrigation or are facing more LEED
water requirements in your present designs, join us for an information
packed day and walk away with a solid irrigation base knowledge and one
more reason for your clients to appreciate you.

Don't miss this all-day educational workshop. We guarantee a fun and informative time. Lunch is included with your registration.
