Lamb of God plays pure American metal. New Haven, Connecticut's Hatebreed have been featured on MTV2's 'Headbangers Ball' show in addition to stints on such tours as Ozzfest and the Heavyweights of Hardcore. The Canadian sextet Three Inches of Blood evokes a throwback to heavy metal's youthful 1980s heyday. The band's Iron Maiden-like galloping riffs and solos are speeded up to thrash metal tempos, topped with "Dungeons & Dragons" styled lyrics and titles such as 'Destroy the Orcs' and 'Ride Darkhorse, Ride.' Their latest is 'Advance and Vanquish.' Behemoth is an influential polish blackened death metal band. 3 Inches of Blood is a Vancouver-based metal band.
