For over two decades, the Lakota Sioux Indian Dance Theatre has communicated the powerful resonance of dance in the Plains Indian society, through such dances as the Buffalo and Eagle, as well as the importance of song as living history and oral tradition. Its program, 'Cokata Upo: Come to the Center,' tells the story of birth, death and rebirth of the Indian nation.
