A Just Music Cafe event presenting two critically-acclaimed and enigmatic bands that weave a love of electronic exploration with brilliant artistry to stunning effect.

Laki Mera blend fragile folk beauty and tender and ethereal vocals with almost sinister electronics that have earned them breathless comparisons with artists as diverse as the Cocteau Twins, Portishead, Blue Nile, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Radiohead.

Manchester’s Marconi Union have forged their own path with a succession of strong albums and carefully selected live performances and a steadily growing audience worldwide. All of this despite barely uttering a word to the press. Their album A Lost Connection hit the upper echelons of The Sunday Times Top 100 Albums 2010.
