About the Beneficiary Project
In collaboration with the First Ladies Initiative, NextAid is helping to bring much needed resources and support to women and girls in Sierra Leone. This project, supporting the global movement towards achieving Millennium Development Goal #5 (reduction of maternal mortality), engages grassroots activism, high-level advocacy and creative design to show impact and inspire change. NextAid is working with the First Lady of Sierra Leone and supporting the design and planning costs to begin the first phase of constructing a Birth Shelter that will serve women and girls in the Mattru Jong area of Sierra Leone, where timely access to maternal care, can be a matter of life and death. Sierra Leone has one of the highest rates of maternal mortality in the world. The center will also provide health education and nutrition programming, child development education, and income-generating activities.

About Digital Bliss and Boutique Electronique Records
Digital Bliss Productions was established in 2004 by Bay Area local Lynda Arnold to promote females in electronic music production, DJing and engineering as well as women who combine media and disciplines to create their own unique voice in the digital realm. In 2006 Lynda partnered with music producer and label owner Celeste Lear of Boutique Electronique Records to release two compilation CDs called Digital Bliss Volumes 1 and 2 featuring prominent talented female music producers. Digital Bliss seeks to connect groups in the wildly varied electronic music scene to create more community and cross-pollination in the Bay Area and around the world. Through performances, education, touring, compilation releases and blogging it shares new voices and music. http://www.digitalblissproductions.com/
