"DUGOUT is a love story; an investigation into how memory is invented...a
kind of Supernatural-Jazz-History-Ghost-Blood-Fiction. DUGOUT is a made up
world, constructed and based on true stories and lies I heard and
experienced as a boy growing up in the sprawl of Texas " ~Terry Allen

Four major Los Angeles cultural organizations--Santa Monica Museum of Art,
LA Theatre Works, LA Louver and the LACMA Institute for Art & Cultures-- are
pleased to present DUGOUT, a new three part multimedia work by artist and
songwriter TERRY ALLEN. This citywide celebration of the art, music and
theater of the multi-talented Texan will culminate in an informal and lively
conversation at the LACMA Institute for Art & Cultures, between TERRY ALLEN,
actor JO HARVEY ALLEN and writer, MacArthur Award recipient, maverick critic
and recently appointed distinguished guest professor and curator at OTIS
College of Art and Design, DAVE HICKEY.
