Subtle and alluring, much like a dance, there is a magical relationship between the painter and the loaded brush; an intuitive dialogue takes place. Through the use of form, texture, pushing of paint, and bold color, Lacey Richter leads viewers on a journey of wonderment and expression revealing an intimate space for internal dialogue. Infused with painterly movement and fluidity, floods of emotion and color collect upon the surfaces of canvas and wood, in oils, offering hints and visual residues of organic shapes such as seed pods, roots, and feathers. The familiar and delicate lining that often protects ones' unexpressed thoughts and emotions finds breathing room in Paint, Dance, and Dialogues.
