KPFK and the radio program Labor Review with Henry Walton are inviting experts from all walks of life to take part in “Teach In”, a discussion sponsored Labor Review. The list of confirmed panelists includes community figures and activists who have a perspective to share with all of us on the current social and fiscal condition of the world with. Even more importantly, they want to share solutions that can reverse the current problematic condition of our communities.

The first two hours of this discussion will be broadcast live on KPFK for Labor Review. The last two hours will consist of break-out groups planning a strategy to drive our communities–working in concert, but in their own unique areas of expertise–to a more effective and equitable reality, toward a methodology that takes into account the needs of all people and works for the betterment of the whole rather than the few.

Panelists include:

Janice Heinritz-Canterbury: Activist since Civil Rights struggle (1965); organizer in the biggest union-organizing drive in recent history, the Home Care Workers in the 90’s. Currently the Southern California Organizer for the California Alliance for Retired Americans (CARA).

Lisa Patrick-Mudd: Administrator & Projects Coordinator at Labor United for Universal Healthcare; activist/organizer around health issues.
