Labor Day Season Preview Event September 1, 2008

Flamingo Gardens & Wildlife Sanctuary hosts its Labor Day Season Preview on Monday, September 1, from 9:30-4:30 featuring reptiles, the Bonsai Society, Bird Lovers Club, Gold Coast Aquarium Society, animal rescue groups, plants & garden accessories, jewelry, art/photos, crafts, antiques, collectibles, and gifts. Special 1/2 price admission is only $8.50 for ages 12 and up, $4.25 for children 4-11, under age 4 and members are free. Admission includes the event, the 60-acre botanical gardens, native wildlife exhibits with panthers, bobcats, otters, alligators, tortoises, Free-flight Aviary with 40 species of native birds, Birds of Prey exhibits including owls, hawks, golden and bald eagles, Live Wildlife Encounter Shows at 11:30, 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, 3:30 and tours of historic 1930s Wray Home from 10-4. The narrated 20-minute tour by tram at additional cost runs from 11-4 on the hour. Food, snacks, smoothies and other beverages are available.
