Young Tunisian Jallel is an immigrant in France with hopes of making it big. Sympathetic, kind-hearted, an all-round nice guy who tries to find work and stay alive in a society which largely rejects him because he is an illegal immigrant with no papers, discovering in the process the good humour and solidarity that exists among the disinherited.
