Born in Granada, Spain in 1980, Manuel Liñán grew up dancing in festivals, and tablaos. His formal dancing career began at age 17 in Madrid, where he worked for years as a soloist and worked with major flamenco artists such as Carmen Cortés, La Tati, and Merche Esmeralda. He has since appeared as a soloist in some of Spain’s most prestigious festivals, including the Festival de Los Tarantos, Festival de Union, Certamen de Danza Española y Flamenco de Madrid, Festival de Jerez, and the Bienal de Sevilla. In 2003, he created Compañía ESS3 Movimiento with Daniel Doña y Marco Flores, and produced “Un millón de emociones.” He won the “Lorca” award in New York with a production by Curro Albaicín.
