Kurt Solmssen: Paintings and Works on Paper February 24, 2007

The artist has chosen works that depict scenes that stretch from his native Washington down to Bakersfield. His oil paintings are realistic, yet are often painted from unique angles and perspective. Solmssen's paintings also have a contemplative feel. The artist says he paints from life, sometimes including his two daughters in his works.
