Kurt Masur Conducting Seminar: Open Rehearsal April 25, 2009

hirteen student conductors, all hand picked by Maestro Masur, will be coming together in master class rehearsal sessions leading the Manhattan School of Music Orchestra, to receive direct instruction from the Maestro. This year's repertoire will concentrate on Mendelssohn and includes Symphony No. 5 in D Major ('Reformation'); Symphony No. 4 in A Major ('Italian') and the Ruy Blas overture. The seminar also includes a public concert that will be given at the Park Avenue Armory; the conductors will include selected student seminar conductors and Maestro Masur conducting the Manhattan School of Music Orchestra. This rehearsal for that concert is open to the public.
