KRS-One – CityParks Concerts July 22, 2009

Dubbed "The Teacher" for his political and socially conscious music, KRS-One has been rapping since the 80s -- and his talent hasn't waned since. "I come back/Cause I'm not in the physical/I create myself, man, I live in the spiritual," KRS-One raps in "Hip Hop Lives" from the 2007 album of the same name. Born Kris Parker, the musician/philosopher won a Lifetime Achievement Award for his work founding the Stop the Violence Movement. Presented by CityParks Concerts.
