This is one of the West Coast Songwriters (formerly the NCSA) open mic events and is billed as a "songwriter competition." It costs $5 if you want to play (public entrance is free), but hey - you could win something. Best Song of the evening receives studio time, Best Performance gets some CDRs. Performers get a written evaluation and winners get the chance to play at the annual finals. The other WCS open mics are 3rd or 4th mondays in Berkeley's Freight & Salvage Coffee Shop, third Tuesdays in Santa Clara at Blue Rock Shoot and 3rd Fridays at Coffee Catz in Sebastopol.
