Komfort & Kare's Free Fifth Annual Health & Wellness Expo Supports Seniors September 17, 2010

In an uncertain health insurance environment and economic climate, as other events are cancelling, more than 100 Southern New Jersey healthcare organizations will continue to provide free health screenings and education materials at Komfort & Kare’s Fifth Annual Health & Wellness Expo. Last year, 2,400 seniors, disabled individuals, their children and caregivers attended the event.
The MS Society, Alzheimer’s Association, American Cancer Society, AARP, area hospitals, and many other organizations will be providing free services, including eye and blood pressure exams, massage therapy and screenings for cholesterol, glaucoma, hearing, bone density, balance, blood sugar, and more. For many attendees, this Expo provides the only health screenings they receive all year.
Each year Komfort & Kare, based in Westmont, also offers a drawing in which two visitors win a free seat lift chair or scooter. Attendees will receive additional giveaways from exhibitors. An expanded edition of the annual South Jersey Senior Magazine will also be provided free to all attendees. The magazine includes many informative articles from healthcare professionals, as well as county services and reference material useful for seniors and caregivers as a year-round guide.
