Kirtan Rabbi and Yofiyah: Havdalah and Chanting March 15, 2008

The KIRTAN RABBI, Andrew Hahn (aka "Reb Drew") will be sharing the night with YOFIYAH (founder of Kabbalistic Kirtan) as part of the "Kirtan Rabbi Series" at the Integral Yoga Institute. No knowledge of Hebrew is necessary.

Usher in the new week with a Havdalah ceremony and then join in the universal, vibrational chanting with this first time joint appearance of two leading Hebrew Kirtan practitioners. Award winning drummer Shoshana Jedwab will be amongst the guest musicians.

Kirtan is one of the oldest sacred music traditions of the world. The Kirtan call-and-response chanting genre comes to us originally from India. Everyone can participate regardless of age of cultural background.
