Kirk Fox was born in San Diego and now lives in Los Angeles. After a failed career in professional tennis he began doing what every other failed tennis pro does... he began teaching tennis in Beverly Hills to directors and producers, and going to acting class. "I used to threaten a director with tennis elbow if he didn't put me in his movie."
On November 11, 2002 after ten years and twenty bit parts in films including The Patriot, Wyatt Earp, The Postman, Godzilla, Mumford, City of Ghosts and Crazy in Alabama, Kirk stepped on stage for the first time at the Comedy Store in Hollywood and within months was a "paid regular."
Kirk can currently be seen starring opposite Donal Logue in Tennis Anyone? which they co-wrote. The film premiered at the 2005 HBO Comedy Festival in Aspen and later that year won best comedy at World Fest in Houston. Tennis Anyone?, directed by Logue is fast becoming a classic and its short life in theatres hasn't gotten in the way of it becoming a top DVD rental since hitting the shelves on February 28, 2006.
Kirk is currently training to be the first stand-up comic to climb Mt. Everest with no supplemental oxygen. "I don't smoke so it should be easy and Sherpas love my comedy. I plan on doing a five minute set at the top of the world before my descent. I'm going to climb Everest. How cool is that? Where is it?" Check out his progress as the climb nears at .
