Kimrea "Secret Room" CD Release Party and Community Jam July 8, 2011

Featuring Kimrea and Dreamdogs, Lisa Kindred, Derek Evans, Loralee Christensen, Matt Lax, Ms. Barbara Begley and Special Guests.

Proceeds from this concert fund a scholarship awarded to 2008 Tam High Student, Barbara Begley who will be a Senior at New York University this fall. Barbara will be studying her first semester in Ghana, Africa.

Mill Valley Artist, Singer, Songwriter, Musician Kimrea, founded “The Community Jam" in 2003 gathering together talented professional musicians to perform benefit shows for various local causes. The Community Jam BeeKee Scholarship Concert came about in 2008 during the process of applying for scholarships and watching the process while helping her daughter Barbara (BeeKee) a Tam High Student to figure out how to afford college. Barbara was accepted to TISCH School of the Arts at NYU. Scholarships and loans covered the costs of her tuition, but there were still many other costs that were not covered. The money raised by the Community Jam in the last three years has helped cover Housing deposits and flights to and from New York, and various other school costs outside of tuition. Barbara is an A student and loving NYU. Ms. Begley will be studying her first semester of her Senor Year this fall in Ghana, Africa at NYU’s campus there.
