Originally from a small town in Massachusetts, Kim has been a substantial presence in Southern California's music scene since 2004. Before her move to Los Angeles she dedicated her time performing in the San Diego's music scene where she was named "Best Singer/Songwriter" and "Best Female Vocalist" in the 2006 San Diego H.A.T. Awards (Honoring Acoustic Talent).
