Kilimanjaro is a free form and improvisational trip jazz group. With former members of As Tall as Lions Kilimanjaro started with the specific vision that music doesn't need to be premeditated. The members were convinced that there was an underlying purity to music that is captured in the momeny, an added excitement in knowing that it came to be under impromptu circumstances. With influences from Billy Cobham to Pink Floyd and Kneebody, the charmed four soar through the seemingly endless reaches of their individual cognition. They all agree there is no happier place for them then on the stage; a fact that has been remarkably apparent to those who have been able to see them play.
